About film
A strange cry echoes through the Jura mountains as winter comes to an end. The sublime silhouette of an Eurasian lynx slips through the beech and fir trees as he calls out to his female companion. By following the daily life of this couple and their cubs, we discover a whole world close to us and yet so little known. LYNX is an authentic tale in which chamois, eagles, foxes and stoats are witnesses to the secret life of Europe’s largest “big cat”, still an endangered species.
The film reveals the vital role that this discreet predator plays in our forests and the balance it has restored in a fragile environment, but also the difficulties it encounters in a habitat largely occupied by humans.
